Registering is not popular with everyone. Many people prefer to do their research on an anonymous basis. Some are willing to share their information with all; for those of you, we thank you.
Running a Bulletin Board can be a "catch22". How do you provide a resource to those who feel the need to find their origins; while maintaining a safe place to share the information with other family members? The open architecture of the Internet can be a great help to those who have met their ultimate genealogy defeat.....a brick wall. Unfortunately the same open architecture is an invitation to others who for whatever reason, feel it is their ultimate achievement to add another conquest to their websites they've defaced lists.
For that reason, the Administrators of this Board, monitor the Guest access and the requests for Member Names. After research, if a repeated offender is identified, that individual is placed on this disallow list. If you feel you have been inappropriately placed on the disallow list, please send an email to the Board Administrators for reconsideration.
That brings us to the subject of index items and posts. You must be a registered user to add, view or reply to a post in many of the forum categories. We are not doing this to intentionally prevent you from obtaining the information. The reason is to safeguard the content of the Bulletin Board. When the unauthorized activity against the BB "settles down" we could lift that restriction. With that in mind we would like your opinion; how do you feel on the subject? Please take a moment to answer the poll question. NOTE: you must be a registered user to participate in the poll.
