On December 1st, 2010,
I received the announcement for a new Holiday discount price for
FamilyTreeDNA FamilyFinder, from $289 down to $229, with an
order link posted on all of our Personal Pages in the left column menu,
listed as a "Special Offers" SALE through December.
So a MAINE DNA kit for #20923 FamilyFinder
was ordered on Dec. 1st, 2010 [new due date: Feb 28, 2011]

Recently I have been having luck with my own FamilyFinder,
showing some Kentucky cousins, connecting with another
Robert ELDER, b. 1760 of York Co PA, who died in KY.
A few of the "other surnames" have Scotland locations,
but I haven't discovered their connections.... yet.
One technique which works sometimes:
Using Google to search for the cousin's posted e-mail, finds queries and
genealogy webpages, to discover more connections.
News for MAINE ELDER kit:
Received the first report for FamilyFinder, expect more matches in
6-8 weeks. About the end of March.
Sent a query to the BEAVERS match, as 4th cousin.
Then found BEAVER/BEAVERS name in the same county
as the "MAINE" ELDER family of Moss Point, Jackson County, Mississippi. Haven't connected them yet.
Did request an obituary from the library there. Not found yet. _________________ Nancy Elder Petersen
